Sometimes boards and collections can become cluttered when your organizations contain a lot of information. By archiving cards, swimlanes, boards and collections, you can tidy up your organization whilst still being able to search for and view archived material.

Archiving Cards
To archive a card, you can either click on each card individually and click the archive icon, or you can click in the hamburger menu of the individual column and click Archive all cards.

Archiving cards hides them from the view, but you can still access them after they are archived by clicking the eye icon at the top of a board, now you can choose to show the archived cards on the board.

Including archived cards in reports:
Even though the cards are archived they can still be counted for different reporting purposes. Make sure this is toggled on by opening Advanced search, click Settings and then Include archived cards.

Archiving boards and swimlanes

To archive a board, you will need to click on the hamburger menu for your board, click more, and then archive.

To see your archived boards and backlogs again, click on your collection name and click Show archived boards.

To archive a swimlane, click the pencil icon on the swimlane card and click the archive icon in the top right corner of the card:

To see archived swimlanes again, the process is the same as showing archived cards.

Archiving collections

To archive a collection, click on the collection name, Additional options and Archive.

To see your archived collections again, click on collections in the side bar and you will be able to search for archived collections there.

It's not harder than that! Archiving on a regular basis will definitely keep your organization tidy, and your team members can focus on the upcoming and current work.
